Provost

The Provost, Elder James Terwase Ihongo was born in the year 1970 and a communicant member of the NKST Church. He studied at the following professional and academic institution in Benue state and outside the states and obtained Certificates in Medical Laboratory Assistant and Medical Laboratory Technician at NKST Len Gabriele School of Medical Laboratory Science, Mkar in 1989 and 1994 respectively. He went further to study at College of Health Technology, Zawan, Jos, Plateau State and obtained the Community Health Officers Diploma (CHO) in 2001. He also studied at the Benue State University, Makurdi and obtained Bachelor of Science Education Degree in Biology and Master’s Degree in Health Education in 2006 and 2010 respectively. At the University of Mkar, Mkar he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in 2012. He holds a Professional Diploma in Primary Health Care Education (PHC Tutor) in 2014 at the University of Ibadan. He is currently undergoing his course work for Doctorate Degree in Health Education at University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

James Terwase Ihongo is a license member with Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences of Nigeria (IMLSN), Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) and Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

Ihongo is an experienced Lecturer who joined the services of NKST College of Health Technology, Mkar in 1996 and has lectured several courses at the College till date. Before joining the College, he worked as a Laboratory Scientist with the Primary Health Care at different postings from 1989 to 1995.

He loves teaching profession and a good counselor to the students. He is married with children.
