Community Health

(A) Higher National Diploma (HND) in Community Health (Duration: 4 Semesters)

Entry Qualification: Candidates seeking admission must have passed National Diploma in Community Health, with at least Lower Credit, in addition, a minimum of 5 credits passes at SSCE (WAEC, NECO or GCE) at not more than two sittings. These credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science, two credits pass from Chemistry, Physics, and Food & Nutrition.

(B) Pre-HND in Community Health (Abridgement) (Duration: 6 Months)

Entry Qualification: Candidate wishing to be admitted into Pre-HND Community Health must have passed National Examination for CHEW or Diploma in Community Health at least with a Lower Credit. Candidate awaiting result need not apply.

(C) Direct-HND in Community Health (DHND) (Duration: 10 Semesters)

Entry Qualification: Candidate seeking admission into Direct Higher National Diploma in Community Health must have 5 credits passes at SSCE (WAEC, NECO or GCE O/L) at not more than two sittings. Three of the credit passes must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science; Two credit pass from Chemistry, Physics or Geography.

(D) National Diploma in Community Health (Duration: 6 Semesters)

Entry Qualification: Candidate seeking admission into National Diploma in Community Health must have 5 credits passes at SSCE (WAEC, NECO or GCE O/L) at not more than two sittings. Three of the credit passes must include: English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Health Science; Two credit passes from Chemistry, Physics or Geography.

(E) Diploma in Community Health (CHEW) (Duration: 6 Semesters)

Entry Qualification: Candidate seeking admission into Diploma in Community Health (CHEW) must possess the same as in 1 (D) above.

(F) Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW) (Duration: 4 Semesters)

Entry Qualification: Candidates seeking admission into Junior Community Health Extension Workers must possess at least 5 passes at SSCE at not more than 2 sittings. Three (3) of the passes must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology or Health Science and two (2) of the passes from any other subjects.
